Friday
and Saturday November 9th and 10th, 2007
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc.'s (JLOEB) its fourth annual Artful Living Home Tour is right around the corner. In partnership with Diablo Magazine, the JLOEB will offer a special tour of four architecturally-distinctive and meticulously-crafted residences in Walnut Creek, California.
Among them are a Tuscan home that took the original owners 14 trips to Italy to get exactly right, a Mediterranean home the owners built by hand with a pulley system and good old fashioned brute strength, a Contemporary home built with many windows to capture the extraordinary views and a outdoor entertainer's delight complete with a checkerboard lawn and an infinity pool.
The tour is both unique and educational focusing on an integral perspective of architectural style, landscape design, interior design and furnishings and is sure to inspire tour participants to build or remodel their own dream homes.
Prior to unveiling the architecturally-rich and uniquely-designed homes, the JLOEB will host a Kick-off Party on Friday, November 2nd from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Galleria Home Furnishings at 1821 Mount Diablo Boulevard in Walnut Creek. Proceeds from the Artful Living Home Tour and Kick-off Party support the charitable endeavors of the JLOEB.
The Artful Living Home Tour begins Friday, November 9th and continues through Saturday, November 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Tickets for the tour are $35 per person in advance and $40 on the days of the event. Tour check-in will take place at St. John Vianney Church, which is located at 1650 Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek.
