The Junior
League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB) reaches out to women
of all races, religions and national
origin who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.
If you are interested in making a commitment to volunteering
in the Oakland and East Bay area, please join us!
Eligibility
for Membership
To be eligible to join the JLOEB as a new member, a woman must
be at least 21 years old as of June 1 of her new member year.
No member sponsorship is required to join JLOEB -- just an interest
in voluntarism, a commitment to community service, and a desire
to develop the skills and abilities which will better enable
her to serve the community. Any woman who meets these criteria
is warmly welcomed.
When
to Join
We accept new members only one time each year, between June
1 - September 1. The deadline for receipt of new member enrollment
forms is September 11, 2007. Prospective members who miss this
window must wait until the following calendar year to join.
Enrollment
Process
All women interested in learning more about becoming a member
of the JLOEB are strongly encouraged to attend a prospective
member information session. Enrollment forms and League information
packets will be available at these sessions.
The
new member program officially begins in early September of each
year. All new member responsibilities
will need to be completed by April 30, 2008.
