A
Letter from our President
Thank
you for considering the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc.
(JLOEB) as your volunteer group of choice in the community.
Our mission,
simply stated, is to promote voluntarism, develop the potential
of women and improve our community. We provide a place to meet
incredible women and make life-long friends while at the same
time offering a training ground for you to develop the volunteer
skills you need to make a difference in the community.
This year
JLOEB celebrates more than 70 years of making a difference in
the Oakland-East Bay community and in the lives of children
and their families. We are a member of the Association of Junior
Leagues International comprised of 294 Junior Leagues in the
United States, Canada, Great Britain, and Mexico. The collective
power and influence of this group of women, from across the
country and around the world, coming together to build better
communities is phenomenal.
It is difficult
to put into words how personally rewarding and fulfilling it
is to answer a community need, enrich the lives of children,
and do so as part of a collaboration of smart, engaging and
supportive women. The Junior League is a very special and unique
organization.
Come and
learn more about us. We look forward to meeting you!
All the
best,
Beth
Gebhardt
