WHAT: With Halloween just around the corner, it’s
already beginning to look a lot
like Christmas!
And this year, the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB) wants
to help you make the most of your holiday
shopping and make an impact for Children at Risk via “The Crate and
Barrel Shopping Night” – a unique holiday shopping event hosted by the League
and Crate & Barrel. All proceeds, including ticket sales and 15
% of all purchases at this special holiday event, will benefit the JLOEB’s
community programs, including the League’s award-winning program, Super Stars Literacy Project.
Complimentary wine, hors d’ouevres, and dessert will be served. The event is open to the general public. Tickets are $25 per person pre-sale and $30
at the door.

WHY: Throughout its 70-year history, the JLOEB has contributed more than 7 million
volunteer hours and approximately $3 million to community
agencies in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties who serve vulnerable children and
their families. The impact of 70 years of Junior League voluntarism
can be seen and felt throughout the Bay Area community. We
invite you to enjoy an evening of food, fun, festivities, and friendship, and
help the JLOEB remain a powerful voice for Children at Risk.

Your
Own Registry” for this exclusive shopping event. Then, simply hand your “Registry Wish List” to the Crate and
Barrel staff at the event and they’ll do the rest!
For
those unable to attend the event, but who wish to support the efforts of the JLOEB,
Crate & Barrel will take phone orders at (925) 947-3500. For purchases made
via phone during the event timeframe 15% will also go to the JLOEB programs
serving Children at Risk.
