LAFAYETTE, Calif. - The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB) in partnership with Diablo Magazine proudly announces its fourth annual Artful Living Home Tour. The event offers a chance to sneak a peek at some of the most exclusive homes in Walnut Creek, California, focusing on architectural style, landscape design, interior design and furnishings.

The tour begins Friday, November 9 and continues through Saturday, November 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Tickets for the tour are $35 per person in advance and $40 on the days of the event. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.jloeb.org or by contacting the League office at 925.284.3740, Tour check-in will take place at St. John Vianney Church at 1650 Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek.

"This year we offer a peek into some spectacular Walnut Creek residences," states JLOEB's President Beth Gebhardt. "We know you will enjoy the distinctive architecture, extraordinary landscaping, creative interior design and stunning scenic views, as well as remarkable collections of art and antiques."

The four featured homes gain inspiration from around the globe. One of the homes appears straight out of Tuscany. The original owners traveled to Italy 14 times to capture the essence of the region. These owners named the home "House of Frogs", which explains the various frogs placed throughout the home.

A second home was built by its owner's own two hands. This Mediterranean home's high walls and ceilings were constructed without the use of any machinery other than a pulley system and by the owner's brute strength. Each ceiling in the home is designed with a different architectural style.

The third home, contemporary in style, allows the sunlight in while also displaying extraordinaire views. Its vast amount of windows highlights the many modern art and sculpture throughout the home.

The final house is an outdoor entertainer's dream! This home is both lived in and entertained in. The exquisite backyard features a checkerboard lawn leading to an infinity pool. Spectacular panoramas from atop the hill allow for views all the way to Benicia Bay!

Prior to unveiling the homes, the JLOEB will host a Kick-off Party on Friday, November 2 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. In a new collaboration, the JLOEB will partner with Galleria Home Furnishings (1821 Mount Diablo Boulevard) in downtown Walnut Creek.

This "East Meets West" extravaganza is guaranteed to awaken all your senses. Tickets for the Kick-off Party are $45 in advance or $50 at the door.
