LAFAYETTE RESIDENT ELIZABETH GEBHARDT BEGINS
TERM AS
PRESIDENT OF JUNIOR LEAGUE OF OAKLAND-EAST BAY, INC.

LAFAYETTE, CA - June 2007 - On June 1, Elizabeth Gebhardt will become the 68th president of the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB). Mrs. Gebhardt's term runs through June 2008. "We are incredibly lucky to have Elizabeth leading League members in the coming year," said Diane Stevenson, JLOEB President, 2006-2007. "She has tremendous experience, and has made significant contributions to both the League and the East Bay community surrounding her." Sharing Experience "The Junior League is unique because it is an organization that leaves a legacy in the community with its many good works. Locally, we have been involved with more than 150 community partners over 70 years, and many of the programs we started are still running strong, making a difference every day in our community and in the lives of our children," said Elizabeth. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley. She lives in Lafayette with her husband, Jim, and their daughters, Emily, Grace, and son Jack who arrived on August 27, 2006. Women Building
