WELCOMES 2006-2007 NEW MEMBER CLASS

60 Women to Impact Community Change

LAFAYETTE, CA - Known in the East Bay area for the past 72 years as an organization committed to training volunteers and addressing community needs by creating innovative solutions and projects, the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB) proudly welcomed its new member class in September.

During the summer, more than 50 prospective members attended three Wine and Cheese Socials hosted by the New Member Committee. The hard work of the New Member Committee paid off in September with 60 women signing up to join the League.

"We at the Junior League are so proud of the tradition and spirit of the current membership of more than 500 women, and we look forward towards the future impact these amazing new members will make on the East Bay area community," said Heather McGonigle, New Member Chair, 2006-2007. "So many have been touched by the JLOEB since we started, and our future is brighter because of the caliber of women who have joined this year."
