NOVEMBER 3-4, 2006 TO BENEFIT CHILDREN AT RISK

Annual Event Focuses on the Integration of Art and Architecture in Orinda, California

WHAT:	The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB) proudly announces its third annual Artful Living Home Tour. In partnership with Diablo Magazine, the JLOEB (www.jloeb.org) will offer a special tour of five architecturally-distinctive and meticulously-crafted residences in Orinda, California. The tour is both unique and educational - focusing on an integral perspective of architectural style, landscape design, interior design and/or furnishings - and is sure to spark diverse discussions as well as help inspire tour participants to build or remodel their own dream homes. Prior to unveiling the architecturally-rich and uniquely-designed homes, the JLOEB will host a Kick-off party on Thursday, November 2nd from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Orchard Nursery in Lafayette, CA. Proceeds from the Artful Living Home Tour and Kick-off event benefit JLOEB's community programs which serve Children at Risk.
WHEN:	The Artful Living Home Tour 2006 begins Friday, November 3rd and continues through Saturday, November 4th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
COST:	Tickets for the Artful Living Home Tour are $35 per person in advance and $40 on the days of the event. Tickets for the Kick-off party are $45 per person in advance and $50 on the evening of the event. For more information, call 925.284.3740 or visit www.jloeb.org.
WHY:	The Artful Living Home Tour gives everyone from design enthusiasts to the general public a peek into the world of architecturally-distinctive residences in Orinda. The ticket purchase opens the door to the fun of exploring some of the most beautiful and interesting homes in the East Bay, while supporting the League's continued efforts on behalf of children.
