Junior League of Oakland – East Bay Done-in-a-Day Impact Report

Total Number of Volunteer Hours: 22.5 hours

Description: Alameda County Community Food Bank is a non –profit organization that was established in 1985. They collect and distribute food for over 240 non-profit agencies in Alameda County including food pantries, soup kitchens, senior citizen centers, and child care centers, totally approximately 380,000 meals weekly. The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay partnered with the food bank to cut and tie food bags as well as sort and bag fruits and vegetables. Today the volunteers bagged over 6,000 pounds of fruit.
