This summer has been a busy one for the New Member Committee. We have hosted three information sessions for prospective members. Thank you to sustainer Lori Doyle for hosting us in Lafayette in June, active member Toni Mason for hosting us in Piedmont in July and active member Lauren Inman-Semerau in Danville in August. Without the support from our hosts, as well as active league members who come to speak to prospective members, there is no way for these events to be successful.
Summer Information Sessions by the Numbers (as of 8/28):
14 members of the New Member Class
We have another Information Session that will be held on August 29th at Alameda Point Collaborative. This will allow prospective members to get an inside look into the work that we do for our mission as well as meet one of our biggest community partners. In September we will hold one final social before our New Member year officially kicks off on September 19th at the Sports Basement in Walnut Creek with our New Member Orientation.
We know that our active and sustainer members are our best recruiters. If you know someone that might be interested in joining the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, we want to meet her. Please send them our way!
