President’s Message

Lynna Do
2017-2019 President
Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc.

Welcome to the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay!

The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay has been a member of our community since 1935.  We are an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League was founded on a LEGACY of making a difference.  We have left a lasting LEGACY in our community though our community projects and partnerships, including but not limited to, The East Bay Children’s Theatre, Junior Center of Art and Science, Volunteer Center of the East Bay, Family Stress Center, Super Stars Literacy, Alameda Point Collaborative; with the most recent being Wardrobe for Opportunity.

During the 2016 – 2017 year, the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay donated $7,000 in community enrichment grants, volunteered over 800 hours in our communities, and provided over 300 hours of training for our members.

And this year we are working on expanding our community presences and expanding on our volunteering hours.  We are working on building partnerships with our community organizations, as well as developing lasting relationships.  One goal is to bring together community leaders to serve on an Advisory Board to our Board of Directors and League.

We invite you to join us as a member, donor, volunteer, and/or community partner.  With your help, we can create lasting change in our community and build a LEGACY!

Together we will build OUR LEGACY,

Lynna Do

President, 2017 -2019 Board of Directors
