JUNIOR LEAGUE OF OAKLAND-EAST BAY’S 2024 COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT GRANT APPLICATION IS LIVE!

The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay’s Community Enrichment Fund (CEF) was created to help fund the critical work of nonprofit and community agencies in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

We are pleased to announce that applications for our 2024 Community Enrichment Fund (CEF) grants are now being accepted. We accept applications from organizations that align with our focus to support women and children. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, March 01, 2024, at midnight.

To be considered for a CEF grant, please note the following eligibility criteria:

  • Funds shall only be granted to programs that focus on impacting the lives of women and children.
  • We are unable to fund an individual’s project or research, staff training seminars, travel expenses, tuition or scholarships, fundraising projects, and staff salaries.
  • Grants shall not be given concurrently with any other League funding.
  • Grants shall only be granted to nonprofit 501(c)3 agencies who demonstrate financial stability.

Priority will be given to: 

  • Programs that support unhoused women, children, and gender-expansive people.
  • Programs that effectively utilize volunteers or seek to develop volunteer components.
  • Programs that fill emerging gaps in community services.
  • Programs that demonstrate grassroots community involvement.
  • Programs that allow for opportunity for long-lived impact within the organization.
  • Programs with a broad demographic reach – those that serve women and children of diverse races, religions, and ethnicities.
